History Repeats Itself

It is said that history repeats itself.

Picture if you will, a world where 70% of the people that you know, your family, your friends, your co-workers, your neighbors are gone. Which ones did you choose to disappear? How did you choose? Each person has an intrinsic value and who are you to pick and choose who stays and who goes?

How does your heart feel at the suggestion of choosing some of your most precious people to go away?

I am going to guess that you are not feeling good, and you are more than wondering at this point to what this blog is really about and where I am going with this.

I could not imagine if 70% of my family was gone. At the end of our days, we usually understand the value of family, of people. It is not who has the most toys and money that wins at the end of life, it is he/she who is dearly loved that wins. You will not on your death bed say, bring me my money, but you will want your loved ones surrounding you.

Enter the Georgia Guidestones a granite monument put up in 1980 in Elbert County, Georgia, USA. They have been called the American Stonehenge and become a tourist attraction. The mysterious circumstances surrounding them provide much speculation and intrigue which also attracts a lot of attention and guessing on everyone’s part.

This monument was planned and executed by a group of anonymous people over a 20-year period (so the planning started in about 1960) who still choose to remain anonymous to this day, which is interesting in itself. A man named R. C. Christian approached the Elbert Granite Finishing Company saying he was working on behalf of “a small group of loyal Americans” who had a vested interest in the good of the world. He would never disclose who he really was as he used a false name; he would never disclose who he was representing, and we still do not know. The monument was unveiled reportedly to a group of a hundred or so people on March 22, 1980.

The man who hired the Granite company explained that the monument would be used in several ways. In addition to 10 Guidelines for Humanity it would also serve as a compass, calendar, and clock, and should be capable of "withstanding catastrophic events". Does this group have prior knowledge to upcoming “catastrophic events?”

We are not even going to talk about the cost of such as monument as the owner of the Granite Company thought this fellow at first was a nut and decided to give an exorbitant amount and they said "yes" and hired him.

The main purpose of the monument would be a message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles engraved on the monument in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. The languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Traditional Chinese, and Russian.

A few feet away is another granite block that has instructions about the monument, it names the languages used and has this inscription:

The Georgia Guidestones Center cluster erected March 22, 1980

Let these be guidestones to an Age of Reason

Here are the 10 Guidelines or Principles carefull etched into the marble that this group thought they would share with the world; and it is the world that the message is directed to, since we see eight world languages, it is not simply for the U.S.A.

Please read these 10 principles slowly and carefully after all they are for: An Age of Reason”

  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

  2. Guide reproduction wisely—improving fitness and diversity.

  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.

  4. Rule passion—faith—tradition—and all things with tempered reason.

  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.

  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.

  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.

  8. Balance personal rights with social duties.

  9. Prize truth—beauty—love—seeking harmony with the infinite.

  10. Be not a cancer on the Earth—Leave room for nature—Leave room for nature.

Now I am not sure about you, but I could not get past number 1 and 2 before my stomach did a flip flop.

The world population today is 7.6 Billion people. Read number 1 again.

Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 “ (million).

This implies that somehow this group is going to see 7 Billion people disappear off of the planet. 7 Billion. Approximately 70%. Ahhhh, this is where the disappearance of 70% of your family and friends comes in.

How are 7 Billion people going to disappear off the earth? Catastrophe? Disease? Starvation? Nuclear Attack? Sterilization…which leads us to number 2.

“Guide reproduction wisely-improving fitness and diversity.”

I am pretty sure a man named Hitler tried to create a supreme human race back in WW2.

“From 1933 to 1945 Nazi Germany’s government lead by Adolf Hitler promoted a nationalism that combined territorial expansion with claims of biological superiority – an “Aryan Master Race” and virulent anti-Semitism. Driven by a racist ideology legitimised by German scientists, the Nazis attempted to eliminate all of Europe’s Jews, ultimately killing 6 million in the Holocaust. Many others also became victims of persecution and murder in the Nazis campaign to cleanse German society on individuals viewed as threats to the “health” of the nation.”

“Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race” … shows the role that scientists, psychiatrists, anthropologists, geneticists, these were all medically trained experts – the role they played in legitimatizing these policies and helping to implement them

The above two quotes are taken online from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Something about the above two quotes on Nazism and comparing the 10 guidelines, at least for me, rings some very alarming bells sending off huge WARNING signals in my head. My brain can even carry it further to today’s huge pandemic outbreak. I do not know, cannot prove, but I can certainly wonder.

The Nazi campaign to mass murder millions of people was something that eventually brought most of the whole world together. When I read the guidelines: Am I to believe they are going to try it again? This time not millions but billions of people?

The world watched the Nazis take power and did not act for far too long believing and trusting in the government, the medical experts, the scientists. Did you know that the Nazi party actually started in 1920, years before WW2. It was called, the National Socialist German Workers’ (Nazi) Party. It was not a quick takeover but a slow progression.

Guideline Number 2: Guide reproduction wisely

Who gets to guide reproduction? Who gets to decide who lives and dies? Who can procreate and who cannot? Would it be this small group of “Loyal Americans” – not on my watch!

“Did you know that in 1939, 6 years after the concentration camps began, in New York City, the German American Bund, “an organization of patriotic Americans of German stock,” had an “Americanization” meeting that drew a crowd of 20,000 people in Madison Square Garden. They denounced President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Jewish conspiracies.”

Did I mention that history repeats itself? “an organization of patriotic Americans” and now we have another group of “loyal Americans” publicly proclaiming the future of the world on granite monuments wanting the right to “guide reproduction wisely”.

We may think that in our day and age that things that happened in Nazi Germany could ever happen again, we would never let it. But do you know:

“The Anti-Defamation League says it like it is: Anti-Semitism in the U.S. is as bad today (2019) as it was in the 1930s” – https://dailynorthwestern.com/2019/05/03/opinion/thuillier-history-is-repeating-itself-right-before-our-eyes/Marcus Thuillier

As I read each guideline, it occurs to me that this select group of people who have shared these principles to the world as their version of what an optimal world would be – are a little off their rocker.

Unfortunately, as history proves, most of the people did not see or sense the evil they were allowing to come into their countries, their workplaces and their families before it was too late and millions of people had vanished. People who mattered, friends and family members.

One of the things that disturbs me greatly is some commentaries that say that these guidelines are “Christian viewpoints”. At this my spirit rises up with a resounding – NOT A CHANCE. I am thankful that I have read the Bible through more than a few times and that I know what it says.

Number 1: if these principles were “Christian” in nature then Christ, namely Jesus Christ would be mentioned because the name “Christian” means a follower of Jesus Christ. This also means that the teachings of Christ would be mentioned and there is nothing listed in these 10 principles that Jesus ever uttered.

I have not stopped thinking about these Georgia Guidelines since I learned of them only last week. It has caused me to review history, engage in research and study to find out more. It has given me “ah ha” moments and at times to have huge grieving and sadness that if history repeats itself there is much more loss and sadness to come.

I have had to evaluate who I will listen to: scientists, doctors, governments, historians and other humans. I for one will not listen to the whims of a “small group of loyal Americans” who do not have the gonads to stand up and say who they are and hide in the shadows of giant granite monuments.

I will take my chances with the author of the Bible, a God who names Himself as the God who Sees, The God who Hears, The God who Heals, The God who Saves, The Great “I Am”.

I will take my chances with the God/man Jesus Christ who came to earth 2,000 years ago, lived on earth, was killed but rose again and appeared resurrected to over 500 people over a period of 40 days and then was taken up to heaven. Jesus Christ is still making waves and changing lives over 2,000 years later, His track record is impressive. Jesus is the person that a “group of loyal people” murdered for the good of the world. They tried to stop Him but they couldn’t and they won’t.

The Jesus Christ that I have personally witnessed for myself to do miracle after miracle, I have seen people miraculously healed, He has raised people from the dead, He has changed lives so drastically that people are unrecognizable by the lifestyle switch they made after they encountered Him.

I will choose to follow the God who has promised me that He will never leave me or forsake me. He promised to guide my footsteps all my life long and give me purpose, meaning and direction. He has not steered me wrong yet. This God I will trust the fate of humanity with, not any groups of people who want to come up with their own set rules, who want to determine who lives and dies because they “say” so.

You see history does repeat itself, in the Old Testament it happened before several times where men wanted to be “gods” and make the rules to suit themselves:

Garden of Eden

Before the flood

Tower of Babel

New Testament: Death of Jesus

Last Century: Nazis

I do not have time to talk about Stalin, Mussolini, Napoleon, Gengis Khan, Idi Admin, Shaka Zulu, Vlad the Impaler, Pol Pot, Kim 11 Sung, Saddam Hussein, Mao Tse-Tung – some of the most famous and brutal dictators of all times each killing millions of people.

I hear people bash each other verbally, angrily, without any kindness promoting their own viewpoints and it is getting worse not better with this Covid, vaccine, passport thing. Things like: I believe this dr. or I believe this politician, I believe this scientist, I believe this government – okay that’s your right to do so: to believe what you would like. It is not your right to bash my viewpoint. Nor is it my right to bash yours. To be honest we can all find doctors, scientists, politicians who say what we want to hear, for both sides.

If I wanted this blog to do anything, to spark some kind of response it is this: Please do not blindly follow any teachings, people, government, scientist, or group of “loyal Americans” because you feel they are right. Many have done so and they lost their lives and if the Monuments in Georgia are to teach us anything – let’s hope it wakes us up before 7 Billion people disappear.

As we can see from generations before us – history repeats itself and it has not always gone well.
