The sound of the Shofar - the rams horn (sometimes translated trumpet in the Bible) was used for many occasions. It was used for war, to bring people into the remembrance of God, it was used to bring a shout of Gods victory, it was used to raise an alarm, it was used in celebrations. It was first mentioned in Exodus 19:16 and used extensively throughout the Bible – right up to Revelations when the Seven Trumpets of God will sound.
It is a distinctive sound and reserved for special occasions. I believe we are in a time when we need to blow the Shofar.
Leaning on my previous blog – where I wrote that we each have been given gifts by God to be used and given away – shared. This time my gift has left me a little unsettled but I write this very hard blog in complete obedience to the message given me and that message prompts me to say – Blow the Shofar – it is time.
I was asked by someone to watch a video, they deemed it creepy but I said I would check it out. I googled the event and God informed me NOT to watch the video as it was disturbing and rather check out the media reports surrounding the event – these had enough still pictures to get a grasp on the event. (so be warned the video is disturbing - do not watch unless you feel you are supposed to).
The event seemed innocent enough at first – the Opening Ceremonies of the Longest Tunnel in Switzerland in June 2016. A world event – a ceremony that had many Heads of State of Europe in attendance.
The still pictures alone were disturbing to me – a half goat, half man, a huge eye up on the screen looking down on you filled with eyes, half naked and some naked people, a statue of a lamb was carried, a naked woman with a huge baby head and wings flew in, and then the goat/man pretended to have sex with the other figures on the stage and the other figures on stage knelt down and worshiped the goat/man.
Now I am not sure about you but Christian or not – it was just weird and disturbing. I could not believe Heads of State – smart people, actually sat and watched this. I copied a couple of statements from reviews below:

RT Question More says: “Naked torsos & horned beasts: Swiss tunnel’s bizarre opening leaves viewers baffled”
Brietbart.com: “The ceremony may be stupid and without much of a point that anyone can grasp, but it is not Satanic.”
Christian Report: WND: “Charisma magazine questioned the motives of the organizers of the ceremony, which was broadcast to millions. “The opening ceremony of the Gotthard Base Tunnel in Switzerland featured a ‘goat-man’ that dies, is resurrected, is worshipped and is crowned as ‘the king of the world.’
“The goat-man that played such a key role in this performance bore a striking resemblance to Baphomet, which in recent decades has become one of the key symbols used to represent Satan in the occult community. So could it be possible that this entire ceremony was actually an Illuminati ritual that was intended to honor Satan? Don’t pass judgment until you see the videos.”
Vigilant Citizen says: “Attended by Europe’s most powerful people, the opening ceremony of the Gotthard Base Tunnel in Switzerland was a dark, disturbing, weirdly satanic ritual.”
I was reminded of a video teaching I watched by Ray Van der Laan – an amazing Biblical teacher – from his series The Early Church Volume 5 Session 1. Ray describes a place that Jesus took His Disciples to – Caesarea Philippi. It was known as the Gates of Hades because a bottomless stream came out of this rock that seemed to originate in the depths of the earth – otherwise known as the gates of Hades – the residing place of the devil. Here there was a site/temple set up to worship the god of Pan. A half man half goat god. There were pens for animals and people and animals were involved in sexual practices. There was erotic and sexual dancing all set out to please and get the favor of the god, pan.
Now we have a tunnel – going into the bowels of the earth, the gates of hades if you will, the residing place of the devil. We have erotic, half dressed dancers sexually exploiting all over the stage in Switzerland and then a half goat, half man comes out and gets worshipped and proceeds to (pretend) to have sex with the dancers.
Not sure about you but I kind of see some similarities in the two events – and just so you think it is isolated to the other parts of the world………..
I heard about this Supreme Court Ruling in Canada– same month June 2016. The Supreme Court decided to not charge a man with beastiality who tried to have his dog have sex with his step daughter. **Please notice below the only “concern” of the lawyers is the concern for the welfare of the animals….
Camille Labchuk, a lawyer who is also the executive director of Animal Justice, said the Supreme Court decision is “a wakeup call” that criminal laws protecting animals in Canada are severely out of date.
“As of today, Canadian law gives animal abusers a licence to use animals for their own sexual gratification,” said Ms. Labchuk. “The Supreme Court has essentially thrown the ball into Parliament’s court and we’re calling on Parliament to step in immediately to fix our outdated laws and protect vulnerable animals from sexual exploitation.”
This was an unsettling blog to write and probably more to even read and it will probably come as a shock to most.
Do you join me in saying it is time to blow the Shofar?
To call people back to God. To let the world know God is watching and this is NOT okay. To say God is coming back and we will have to give an account for this “stuff”.
It is Time to wake up and see that decency and morality have gone by the wayside and what is “right” and “good” is deeply in question.
I asked God when He told me to write this what He would have people do - He said:
To keep looking up. These events were foretold in the Bible – He knows about them. Don’t take your eyes off of Him and get diverted by the yuck down here.
To Pray ( like crazy – emphasize mine)
To Stand Firm. In who we are as Christians, and to Hold Fast to the Truth of God in spite of what we see around us. The Bible says in the last times many will fall away – but God is saying – Stand Firm, don’t be swayed, don’t give in to the yuck around us.
It was at the end of Jesus talk with His Disciples at this very place - the gates of Hades, that He voiced this warning:
